Meet Dr. Tanguay

Hello!

Dr. Tanguay is a mom and board-certified pediatrician with 9 years of experience who cares deeply about the entire family when they are welcoming their infant. She is excited to bring a unique in-home service to the Colorado Springs, Pueblo, and Denver metro area. She also can do virtual services as well. Her services range from baby registry reviews, home tours, infant care techniques, sleep shaping, as well as lactation preparation and ongoing feeding support. She views infant care through perspective of the Montessori philosophy and the prepared environment. Dr. Tanguay has >200 hours in breastfeeding and lactation training over the past 4 years.

She completed her Osteopathic medical training at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Parker, CO. She then completed her pediatric residency training at the well-known Cleveland Clinic Children’s. She is board-certified with the American Board of Pediatrics.

She has emergency medicine experience from Akron Children’s Hospital, where she and her colleague and mentor developed a standardized lactation curriculum for Emergency Medicine residents, Pediatric residents, and medical students culminating in a poster presentation at Pediatric Academic Society. She has done the following coursework over the last 4 years:

-Introduction to the Osteopathic Approach to the Nursing Dyad (October 2024, 40 hours)

-Advanced Techniques in the Osteopathic Approach to the Nursing Dyad (October 2025, 30 hours)

-Multiple Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine CME courses

-Multiple IABLE course offerings

Dr. Tanguay has incorporated Breastfeeding Medicine into pediatric rotations for third- & fourth-year medical students as an Associate Faculty Member. She is presenting a Lunch and Learn presentation on updates in mastitis management this month to a local OB/Gyn office.

Dr. Tanguay is planning on becoming board-certified in Breastfeeding Medicine through NABBLM, the North American Board of Breastfeeding and Lactation Medicine upon completion of the Deep Dive curriculum.
